Hello guys,

Well, I attended babies first Afest this weekend and I have two words for you.

1. Sercurity
2. Police

Security was in one word a bitch, and had a lot of cops to back them up. Other than that a lot of good happened. On Friday I darned HUNK once again (always a huge hit) and waited in line at thing info desk to ask where weapons check was. As I waited I was pulled away by an officer of the LAW (!) and a member of security asking about my weapons. I told them thats why I was in line was to ask, so they promptly walked me to weapons check. Upon my arrival Check got upset that they could not disect my Beretta 92FS....its not a cheapo... While they are doing this they repeatedly ask to see my face. I was willing to comply with everything else but removing parts of my costume. As they checked my HK MP5 they continued to fret about my pistol and mask. Once they had had enough of my pistol security and police took me back to my room to leave my 92FS and MP5 magazine. Once I hit the show floor I noticed I had security tailing me from time to time.

After the drama, Friday went well. My friends and won an award in the cosplay competition for the Castlevania cosplays they made. I was so happy for them. Only a few people know how hard those two worked. I ran into a ton of cool people who wanted to chill for a while that day. Lots of awesome cosplays.

On Saturday I debuted Jan Valentine. It was really fun staying in character for him. If you don't know who he is, he is a very foul mouthed, vulgar, punk of a vampire with two P90's. Back to the gun note the P90's passed with flying colours. Anyway I ran with on Saturday as she also debuted a young WWII Rip Van Winkle. We each had a very good showing. I had a lot of requests for the "Konomi Code" lol. I aslo ran into a very cool dude also cosplaying Jan. Also had to remind me to only act like Jan in front of Hellsing fans as not to offend, lol.

They two cosplays I enjoyed the most though were an AWESOME Metal Gear REX!!! and a sweet little Baskerville (Hell hound).

I really felt for anyone who was in a military cosplay though. As everyone I spoke to had the same issues I had.

All in all though I had a great time. It was my first Anime Fest, but it will not be my last.
